The Tsantsabane Community Development Trust (TCDT) was registered in 2014 as part of SIOC-cdt’s list of beneficiaries. The Forum is a public benefit organisation whose main goals are the implementation of socially important projects, in support of public benefit services and activities.

Tsantsabane was established to provide sustainable socio-economic activities within the community of Postmasburg and the surrounding areas.

The TCDT receives 15% of the SIOC-cdt’s allocation to beneficiary trusts. The Trust was registered to serve the communities within the Tsantsabane Municipality.

The Tsantsabane Municipal area emerged from the amalgamation of the former Postmasburg and Olifantshoek, although the latter area was subsequently incorporated into the Gamagara municipality. Tsantsabane is regarded as a core area within the Siyanda District Municipality in the Northern Cape. The municipality occupies a strategic position between the economic centres of the Northern Cape. It is centrally located between the main economic centres of the province - Kimberley (230 km) and Upington (218km). It is also situated on the main route linking Upington and Kuruman
